Chao Xiong, M.S., LPC
Chao joins the Caillier Clinic team as a Mental Health Therapist. He provides therapeutic services to adolescents and adults with challenging mental health issues to help them become more independent at home and in the community.
Chao graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1996. Prior to joining the Caillier Clinic team, Chao was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for twenty one years where he provided guidance and counseling to people with mental and physical disabilities regarding training and employment opportunities. He assisted many people in becoming vocationally successful, self-sufficient, and independent. Chao also has vocational evaluation experience in which he provided assessments to help clients identify their strengths and weaknesses so they could make an informed decision on their employment goals. He also has two and a half years of supervisory experience where he supervised programs related to domestic violence, sexual assault, and assisting the youth and elderly.
Chao is well known in the Hmong Community for his cultural experiences. During free time, he enjoys raising and taking care of animals such as goats, chickens, pheasants, and pigeons. He also enjoys hunting in the fall.
