Emmanuel Castellanos, MS, LPC-IT, SAC-IT
Emmanuel is a clinical mental health care provider offering individual therapy in school and office-based settings focusing on cognitive behavioral and humanistic approaches to work towards a life worth living.
Emmanuel is currently in his Clinical Mental Health Counseling internship through UW-Stout. He will graduate with a master’s in science and will be working toward his LPC-IT in Fall 2023. His undergraduate studies focused on Psychology and the impact of immigration/deportation on childhood/adolescence. His current work focuses on understanding why people perceive their lives in the way they do and seeking to move away from perceiving life through distorted lenses.
Emmanuel has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient facilities with populations varying from young adults in college, to group home settings with adults with disabilities, and adolescents with behavioral disorders at a residential facility.
Emmanuel is described as compassionate, empathetic, and able to address difficult conversations that are not commonly addressed in people’s lives. His belief is that everyone would do better if given the resources and support needed to achieve their goals. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, reading nonfiction, exploring with his dog, and traveling to new places.
