Robin Dietrich, APSW
Robin is an Advanced Practice Social Worker working with individuals from early adolescence through adulthood. She also provides school based-mental health services in the Menomonie and Colfax school districts.
Robin received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from UW Stout in 2017 and her Masters of Social Work from Aurora University in 2019. Robin has her APSW license working toward obtaining her LCSW licensure.
Robin has worked in a wide array of positions within the social work and helping field. Robin began her social work career working at Boys and Girls Club as a lead teacher, a Behavioral Treatment Technician with WEAP, and as a support broker and in-home care professional for adults who have invisible disabilities. Robin has mentored teens, completed internships in Child Protection and an Emergency Shelter in Barron County. Her most recent positions were at Dunn County as a Social Worker in their CCS/CLTS department and Lily Home & Hospice.
One of Robin’s greatest career achievements was helping to create a bill for individuals with invisible disabilities. She was able to meet Gov. Scott Walker when he signed Senate Bill 415 into law, known as Collin’s Law. Collin’s Law creates an optional registry with the DMV that alerts officers to an invisible disability. When applying for a driver’s license, individuals are able to fill out a brief form identifying their invisible disability and include additional information they want law enforcement officers to have access to. This registry is electronically linked to a driver’s license or vehicle registry that allows for better interactions with law enforcement.
>All of Robin’s experience shows how greatly she enjoys helping those around her. She has a deep passion for helping others be successful and happy. Robin’s thoroughly enjoys working with children because she loves seeing the world through their eyes, watching them find joy in the simple things, and believes that behavior can be a form of communication in a time when children might not be able to find the words.
When not working, Robin usually has her head in a book as she loves reading. She enjoys spending time with her partner and their 3 dogs and cat. Robin loves eating different kinds of food, snuggling under soft, comfy blankets, and spending time outside in the sun. She loves traveling and gaining new experiences and has a dream of traveling to Japan and Italy one day.
