About Caillier Clinic

Growth Through Understanding

For more than four decades, Caillier Clinic has helped individuals and families better understand the challenges they face and find practical paths forward.

Founded in Eau Claire in 1982, Caillier Clinic has grown from a private psychology practice into a multidisciplinary behavioral health clinic serving communities throughout western Wisconsin. Today, our team works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through a broad range of mental health, behavioral, assessment, and substance-use services.

Our philosophy is reflected in a simple idea that has guided the clinic for decades:

Growth Through Understanding

We believe meaningful change often begins with understanding — understanding what is happening, why it is happening, and what can realistically be done next.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, our clinicians work to understand each person's circumstances, strengths, challenges, and goals. From there, we collaborate with clients and families to develop practical strategies designed to improve everyday life.

Care for Every Stage of Life

Mental and behavioral health needs can look very different from one person or family to another. That is why Caillier Clinic offers services spanning many ages and circumstances.

Our work includes psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, individual and family therapy, child and adolescent services, behavioral interventions, parenting and family support, trauma treatment, and outpatient alcohol and substance-use services.

This range of experience allows our team to look beyond a single symptom or diagnosis and better understand the larger picture affecting each client.

Experience You Can Trust

Caillier Clinic's history in western Wisconsin began with psychologist Dr. Paul Caillier, who has practiced in Wisconsin since the early 1980s. His background includes clinical psychology, neuropsychology, psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and consultation across hospital, government, and private-practice settings.

Since then, the clinic has expanded into a team of psychologists, counselors, social workers, behavioral specialists, substance-use professionals, and other mental-health providers.

Our clinicians bring different areas of expertise, but share a common commitment: thoughtful, professional care centered on the individual in front of them.

Rooted in Western Wisconsin

What began in Eau Claire now serves clients through locations across western Wisconsin.

Caillier Clinic currently operates in:

Eau Claire · Chippewa Falls · Hudson · Menomonie · Rice Lake

with an additional Eau Claire location.

Being part of these communities matters to us. Our clinicians work not only with individual clients, but also with parents, schools, healthcare providers, county agencies, and other members of a client's support system when appropriate.

Our Approach

Good mental healthcare should help people feel understood while also giving them something useful to move forward with.

Our approach emphasizes:

  • Understanding before assumptions. We take the time to understand each client's experiences, concerns, and circumstances.
  • Practical solutions. Insight matters most when it can be translated into meaningful changes in everyday life.
  • Individualized care. Treatment and recommendations should reflect the person — not simply the diagnosis.
  • Collaboration. We work alongside clients, families, and other members of their care team when appropriate.
  • Professional growth. Our clinicians continue developing their knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training.
  • Privacy and respect. Clients deserve an environment in which they can speak openly and receive care with dignity and confidentiality.
