Greta Hansen, BS, serves as a Family and Behavior Service Facilitator, bringing rich experience supporting children and families across a variety of developmental settings. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with majors in Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology, alongside multiple specialized certificates, and is currently pursuing her graduate degree in counseling at Marquette University.

From working in preschools and afterschool programs to supporting youth abroad in Kenya, Greta has dedicated her career to early childhood and family wellness. Deeply rooted in the local community—having grown up in Chippewa Falls and now residing in Eau Claire—she is passionate about helping young children and their caregivers build strong, resilient foundations.

Areas of Focus & Specializations

  • Early Childhood Behavior (Ages 0–10): Partnering with young children and parents to navigate behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, and developmental milestones.
  • Root-Cause Behavioral Support: Looking beyond surface-level actions to address underlying causes of behavior, such as trauma, anxiety, and relational distrust.
  • Parenting Guidance & Attachment: Equipping caregivers with practical, trauma-informed strategies to foster secure attachment, clear boundaries, and healthy home dynamics.
  • Reunification Services: Guiding families through delicate transition periods with patience, stability, and compassionate care.

Professional Philosophy
Greta believes that behavior is a form of communication. Rather than simply managing symptoms, she focuses on uncovering and healing the underlying roots of distress—such as early trauma or broken trust. By creating a safe, encouraging environment, she empowers young children and their families to rebuild trust, restore balance, and grow together.

Outside the Clinic
Outside of her clinical work and studies, Greta loves staying creative and active. She produces original music, sings, swims, volunteers at the local dog shelter, and travels to visit loved ones. Fun fact: Greta spent four years playing trumpet in the UW Marching Band!
