Margaret (Meg) Clancy, MS, LPC, brings over three years of clinical counseling experience to her practice. Holding a Master of Arts from the University of Glasgow and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, Meg offers a culturally rich, well-rounded perspective to mental health care.

Meg is dedicated to providing empathetic, trauma-informed care for individuals, couples, and families navigating OCD, anxiety, relational issues, and major life transitions. She believes that true therapeutic progress begins with a foundation of safety, trust, and zero judgment, creating a compassionate space where families and individuals can heal and grow together.

Areas of Focus & Specializations

  • OCD & Anxiety Management: Helping clients break free from cyclic patterns of anxiety and intrusive thoughts to cultivate a grounded, resilient daily life.
  • Couples, Family & Relational Health: Utilizing Gottman Method principles and family systems approaches to help partners and families resolve conflict constructively, strengthen relational dynamics, build deeper connections, and repair trust.
  • Family Systems & Relational Healing: Guiding families through complex interpersonal dynamics, improving home-wide communication, and helping relatives navigate shared challenges cohesively.
  • Life Transitions & Identity: Guiding individuals and family units through major life shifts, fostering self-compassion while navigating periods of change and uncertainty.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Providing an empathetic framework that respects each client’s and family's unique history while equipping them with active coping tools.

Therapeutic Approach Meg’s clinical work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman techniques, and family systems theory. By tailoring these evidence-based frameworks to each client and family unit's unique needs, she works collaboratively to address deep-seated challenges, improve systemic communication, build practical emotion-regulation skills, and foster sustainable self-compassion across relationships.

Outside the Clinic Outside of her clinical work, Meg finds joy in quiet creativity and nature. An animal lover at heart, she spends much of her free time with her dog. She also enjoys crocheting, reading, and spending quality time near the water with her family.
